Salary and Benefits


The base salary for recruit candidates starts at $37,440., which does not include higher education pay.  After graduating the 18-week Police Academy and completion of the field training program, the Police Officer will receive a $2,500 bonus.  The Officer will receive an additional $2,500 bonus after completing their probationary period.  If the Officer is POST certified and is not required to attend the Police Academy, he or she will receive a $2,500 bonus after successfully completing the field training program and another $2,500 bonus after he or she has completed their probationary period.  After one year, the Police Officer will receive State Supplemental pay of $6,000 per year.
