Take a glimpse into your first months on the job
Ready to see what your career might look like in our Consumer & Industrial Products (C&IP) practice? Our client’s needs change every day—and so do the projects our consultants work on. No two career paths are the same for our staff, just like no two days will be the same. Here’s a glimpse of one consultant’s first 100 days on the job. When you join West Monroe, you’ll create your own!
You’re introduced to the West Monroe C&IP practice, who you’ll collaborate with on a daily basis. On your team, you’ll find mentors, partners, and proteges. You’re an integral piece of the puzzle, and we’re glad you’re here.
While you learn the ropes, you will collaborate with an M&A client team as they facilitate a workshop for a newly independent company that has recently been carved out from a large enterprise. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss outdated production planning and scheduling systems that will need to be updated if new company goals are to be met.
A Tier 1 automotive supplier is interested in leveraging predictive analytics to reduce manufacturing maintenance costs and plant down-time. The client is looking for West Monroe’s multidisciplinary blend of seasoned industry experts and business-savvy technologists. Ready to get started?
We’ll start by defining the business case at a high level. To do that, we’ll need executive buy-in. Engaging executives early not only helps to build the functional requirements for the new system, it helps to shape the governance structure that will be needed as we move through the evaluation and deployment processes of implementing any new technology.
At West Monroe, we believe in supporting the communities in which we work and live. As part of our National Day of Service, you will volunteer with your colleagues to help pack and deliver personal care kits for the homeless. The whole team is pitching in to help those in need and have some fun.
You’re excited to attend an industry conference addressing automation and AI for manufacturing. Our consultants are encouraged to seek out both internal and external training to support their professional development. We also encourage our professionals to obtain credentials and certifications that will help them better serve their clients and teams while exploring areas they’re passionate about.
Take the opportunity to share your own unique experiences and points of view. We encourage team members to host internal lunch and learns, or present at industry events. Find a panel you’d like to be a part of? Create a proposal and get ready to share!
