Beautification/Horticulture Maintenance (PT)

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist FT staff with general beautification/maintenance to include digging, mulching and other maintenance duties.

Hours:

PT up to 28 hours a week; 4-5 days a week.

 

Water/Wastewater Laborer 1

Primary Responsibilities:

Should have normal mechanical skills. Should be physically able to perform duties required to make water and sewer repairs, taps, effectively use a shovel, and operate an air-hammer. Should be motivated to learn and grow within the crew and obtain operator certifications required by DHH (Department of Health & Hospitals) up to level 3 in water distribution and wastewater collection.

Qualifications:

Must possess a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

 

Side Boom Mower Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

Mow grass in various city rights-of-way; inspect, clean & service equipment; assist as needed in street maintenance crews.

Qualifications:

Must possess a valid driver’s license, 3 years continuous experience operating 95+ hp tractor with side-boom mowing deck.

 

Dump Truck Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate tandem axle dump truck; inspect, clean & service equipment; assist as needed in street maintenance crews.

Qualifications:

Must possess a valid driver’s license/Class B CDL, 3 years continuous experience operating equipment of this type; preferred experience with tandem axle or larger dump trucks.
