Every company talks about being committed to corporate social responsibility. At West Monroe, social responsibility is not just talk. We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve been granted, and feel we have an obligation to give back. By bringing together our talent, experience, and resources, we believe that we can make a real, measurable difference. Our approach combines community focused, large-scale programs with grassroots, and employee-led efforts to support the causes most important to both our people and our communities. As West Monroe continues to grow, we are transitioning from a CSR program to an environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) framework.
We take a unique approach to giving and volunteerism, supporting our employees and the organizations they're passionate about through our individual match, Dollars for Doers, and Giving Friday programs, as well as aligning to philanthropic pillars that tie to our company strategy: Building the Next Generation of Leaders and Increasing Equity & Decreasing Discrimination. West Monroe's total impact value (a combination of our charitable giving as well as the value of volunteerism and pro bono efforts) equated to $4.9M in 2022.
In 2022, we supported 45 organizations aligned to our philanthropic pillars: Building the Next Generation of Leaders and Increasing Equity & Decreasing Discrimination. We build the next generation of leaders by increasing access to education through tutoring, mentoring and college preparation, and increase equity and decrease discrimination by supporting nonprofits directly addressing issues of racial, healthcare, and economic inequalities. We understand that the focus of this pillar and others can and will continue to evolve as our company grows.
West Monroe matches eligible charitable gifts that employees make to nonprofits.
We support our colleagues and the causes they care about. Giving Fridays provide the opportunity for employees to host fundraisers for local organizations to sustain causes close to home.
We encourage employees to volunteer for causes that they care about – and we provide funds that employees can allocate annually to the charity of their choice as an incentive.
We believe in the power of service to help organizations fulfill their missions. Each year, we take time away from serving clients to dedicate our entire workforce to volunteer in the communities where we live and work.
We use our skills and expertise to provide pro bono business & technology consulting services for organizations that are working to solve our communities’ toughest challenges. In 2022, our employees logged a total of 8,057 hours on pro bono projects.
The Fischer Global Service Fellowship Program enables West Monroe employees to apply their professional expertise in support of causes employees are passionate about during an extended leave. To date, 32 Fischer Fellows have supported organizations addressing issues impacting our global community on nearly every continent.

At West Monroe, we’re proud of our corporate social responsibility impact—but we know our work is never done.
At West Monroe, we are committed to helping our clients, communities, and firm build a sustainable future. We believe that balancing long-term economic gain, social welfare, and environmental protection is a smart approach for businesses looking to improve profits and reduce market risk—including our own.
Sustainability isn’t a buzz-word to us. It’s a mission. Building the next generation of leaders means ensuring they have a sustainable future. And our cross-functional Sustainability Team is there to ensure we live it.
We work with our clients and communities in both pro-bono and market capacities, demonstrating the potential for value creation, making the business case for sustainability, and bringing initiatives all the way from idea to impact. We aim to apply a sustainability lens to all industries served by West Monroe – enabling a competitive and responsible approach to business.
We have a passionate cross-functional sustainability team that creates educational and volunteer opportunities, as well as measure and find ways to limit West Monroe’s environmental impact. This team has made significant strides to measure our overall carbon emissions. In 2021, we purchased certified carbon offsets for our emissions, achieved net neutrality, and have three LEED-certified offices. By tracking and measuring West Monroe’s environmental impact, the team helps to inform West Monroe’s next steps to reduce and address current carbon emissions.
