Today’s strategic IT initiatives carry high stakes. Count on Brian as an experienced guide who can turn challenge into opportunity. He willingly takes on the most complex IT strategy, implementation, and sourcing challenges, always with an eye toward tangible impact. In fact, he has worked with more than 30 Fortune 500 and middle-market companies, creating over $1 billion in savings.
His IT strategy and sourcing experience spans finance, supply chain, billing, and asset management applications for companies across many sectors. For example, he has led strategy, selection, implementation, and integration efforts for a top-tier US wireless career, a Fortune 200 health insurance provider, and a major film and television studio; an IT assessment for $1.4 billion healthcare company; and analysis of an existing $250 million outsourcing relationship for a $2.5 billion regulated utility.
He also has supported multiple transactions – for example, developing an IT strategic roadmap for a $7 billion communications carve out and leading a $15 million systems and hosting transaction for a major pharmaceutical carve out. He can conduct both financial and operational assessments.
He joined West Monroe from Pace Harmon, where he was a director specializing in operations and sourcing. Previously, he was a partner with Deloitte Consulting, served as the interim CIO for a healthcare provider, and was director of management information strategies for PSiNet. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School. He holds certifications in public accounting, internal auditing, and information systems auditing.
Away from work, you may find Brian fishing, boating, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens with his family, or enjoying the sunshine at his Sarasota home. He enjoys American whiskey and has more than one hundred unique spirits in his bar.
He considers the most rewarding projects to be those with the opportunity to develop client and internal staff, enabling them to grow and become value creators.
