In our profession, people are the business. That makes Michele’s role a particularly vital one. As a talent development leader, she ensures our workforce has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to execute our business strategy and create value for our clients and firm. Since joining West Monroe in 2012, she has continuously built and expanded a talent development strategy – and the team that delivers it – impacting and empowering every member of our rapidly growing workforce.
Michele is particularly passionate about enabling business results through talent and leadership development. She facilitated creation of West Monroe’s leadership model and curriculum for supporting our mission to develop the next generation of leaders. She has also created curriculum to support specific career paths, develop sales and management skills, and reduce unconscious bias. As a result of creating strategic learning programs, Talent & Leadership Development has won 3 awards from industry organizations to recognize their contribution to achieving business results.
In addition, she created and oversees our onboarding program, which enables rapid integration of several hundred people per year into the firm – ranging from college graduates to C-level hires. The onboarding programming routinely earns very positive feedback.
Prior to joining West Monroe, she held training roles with several financial services organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in statistics from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in learning and organizational change from Northwestern University.
Being a mom to three very young children and a bonus mom to two teenagers keeps her busy most of the time. She hopes a dog may be in their future, but for now their home and hearts are full.
She played basketball through college and, as a child, won a basketball game—similar to a pop-a-shot—on WGN TV’s nationally famous The Bozo Show.
She is passionate about building meaningful experiences for our people—focusing on how an experience makes them feel and ensuring they are better as a result of it. As a leader, she cares deeply about each team member as a full person, recognizing them as both employees and individuals with families, friends, and personal goals.
