Seattle, Washington – July 23, 2012 — West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Aaron Martinez has joined the firm as a director in its Private Equity practice. Martinez, who is based in Seattle, is responsible for developing the practice and serving private equity clients on the West Coast. He has more than 17 years of consulting and industry experience.
“Transformation in a number of industries is continuing to drive deal activity and place pressure on both private equity and corporate buyers to execute effectively—from target identification and evaluation to post-merger integration,” said Tom Bolger, West Monroe Partners’ managing director of the Seattle office. “Aaron Martinez is an accomplished consultant with a strong track record for success in working with private equity firms, and we are very fortunate to be able to add a West Coast-based executive with his experience and reputation.”
Martinez has advised both private equity firms and corporate clients with respect to dozens of complex, global transactions, helping those organizations transform corporate business development, IT, finance, and operations strategies in a deal environment. His experience includes strategy and execution of buy side and sell side transactions, carve outs, and joint ventures. He also has significant experience analyzing, recommending, and implementing solutions to improve M&A processes; leveraging technology to increase performance and reduce operating costs; and developing organizational designs that support deal objectives.
Martinez joined West Monroe Partners from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a director in their Transaction Services/Post-Merger Integration Practice. In that role, he supported multiple private equity clients, focusing on back-office and operational due diligence, standalone cost analysis, and target operating models.
“Over the course of the past decade, West Monroe Partners has developed distinctive capabilities and an exemplary reputation for its work related to private equity and corporate transactions, as well as operational performance improvement,” said Martinez. “I look forward to helping our clients continue to pursue deal success and to expanding our capabilities and relationships across the region.”
Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
