West Monroe Partners, a full-service North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that Jeff Arnold has joined the firm as a director in its Operations Excellence practice, based in the Columbus, Ohio, office. He has more than 20 years of experience in operations leadership and performance improvement.
Arnold will provide leadership and experienced guidance for clients in the areas of operations planning and management, leadership development, lean and change management implementation, strategic planning, performance management, and cost-reduction strategies. His experience spans industries, including retail, distribution, manufacturing, and utility and service sectors.
“Jeff Arnold is an innovative, service-focused operations executive with deep insight and an accomplished track record for creating market-relevant solutions in areas such as customer-centric staffing, performance management for retail, and workforce optimization,” said Sean Adkins, West Monroe’s Columbus office leader. “His experience complements our existing capabilities well and will be a true asset to clients confronting fundamental change.”
Arnold joins West Monroe from Accenture, where he was a global business lead and member of the strategic leadership team for Workforce Optimization services. He led efforts to integrate and expand the offerings of H.B. Maynard and Co., Inc., a privately held consulting, software and training firm acquired by Accenture in 2007 that provided workforce productivity management solutions to help companies improve performance and market competitiveness.
“West Monroe is doing truly innovative work in operations leadership and workforce optimization, and I look forward to helping to continue to build our reputation and credentials in an area that is vital to many organizational transformation initiatives,” said Arnold.
Arnold began his career with H. B. Maynard and Co., Inc. Over more than a dozen years, he advanced from a consulting role to vice president of operations with oversight for more than 85 percent of Maynard employees. His responsibilities included growing the firm’s operations, serving on the strategic leadership team, and developing and implementing several “Lean in Retail” operations. As a consultant, he led more than 100 client engagements to improve top- and bottom-line results.
He has been an active member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) for nearly 20 years and has held several officer roles in his local chapter, including president for three years. He is also a regular speaker at regional and national conferences on the topics of workforce performance, leadership, change management, engineered labor standards, and lean production and delivery techniques.
Arnold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from Grove City College.
