Jim Bedford Joins West Monroe

West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Jim Bedford has joined the firm as a director in the firm’s Healthcare and Life Sciences practice in Chicago.

Bedford joined West Monroe from Regulatory Compliance Associates, Inc., a Life Science regulatory, quality, and operations consulting firm, where he was vice president and practice leader. His responsibilities included growing the firm’s M&A practice and leading numerous, operations, due-diligence and post-transaction integration projects.

Before joining Regulatory Compliance Associates, Bedford’s roles included senior manager in BearingPoint’s Life Science commercial business segment and president of Metreck Corporation, a provider of software solutions and business development consulting services to the healthcare industry. Previously, he held a number of executive, operations, and quality assurance roles for Baxter Healthcare Corporation and for its prescription benefit management, and home infusion services spinoff, Caremark International.

Bedford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University, where he currently sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board. He is a nationally recognized speaker on FDA compliance and M&A topics, a frequent university lecturer, and has been recently published in recognized Life Science journals.
