West Monroe Partners, a full-service North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that senior director John Stiffler has relocated to join the firm’s San Francisco office. Stiffler will establish a local Mergers & Acquisitions presence to support West Monroe’s existing clients in Northern California as well as lead the M&A practice for the entire West Coast. Prior to transferring to San Francisco, Stiffler led the firm’s M&A practice in the Chicago office.
Stiffler is a recognized leader in the M&A space, with more than 30 years of global business and technology consulting experience across multiple industries, including manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, high tech and professional services. Since joining West Monroe in 2008, he has partnered with both financial and strategic buyers on IT strategy formulation, pre-close IT and operational due diligence, and post-close planning, as well as carve-outs and post-close program management execution, to help clients achieve business goals and realize their investment theses. Stiffler currently serves approximately 50 M&A clients in San Francisco and on the West Coast.
“The addition of John Stiffler to our San Francisco team enables us to better serve our clients in Central and Northern California, and expands our expertise in the local market,” said Will Wu, Customer Experience director and head of the San Francisco office. “I’m thrilled John is bringing his expertise to help drive growth in our market, increase our local offerings and contribute to developing the next generation of leaders in our office.”
Following last year’s acquisition of Etherios and the establishment of a San Francisco office, strategic growth and geographic expansion in Northern California continues to be part of a multi-year strategy for West Monroe. The San Francisco office will continue to expand its headcount and deepen its capabilities in M&A and Customer Experience.
“I couldn’t be more excited to embrace this opportunity and help strengthen our presence in San Francisco and beyond,” stated Stiffler. “This move allows me to work more closely with our Bay Area clients, while helping to build upon the momentum Will has already gained locally. I look forward to contributing to the community and culture of the office and developing new relationships in the Bay Area and the larger Northern California market.”
Stiffler joins two other recent leadership additions to the West Coast M&A team: Nancy Tseng in Los Angeles and Mark Huson in Seattle. Together, the team will work to serve clients and grow the M&A practice up and down the West Coast.
