West Monroe Partners, a full-service North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that Steven Waldrop has joined the firm as a director in its Insurance practice, based in the firm’s Chicago office. He has more than 20 years of technology and operations consulting experience in insurance and other industries.
As Chicago Insurance practice leader, Waldrop will focus on growing the practice within the region and on working with clients to drive substantial revenue enhancement, cost-reduction and customer experience benefits. He brings deep experience in disciplines that include business transformation led by IT modernization, digital strategy and enablement that encompasses web, mobile and social, enterprise architecture, business process design and improvement, change management, IT strategy and operations, core systems software selection and implementation program management (policy, claims, etc.), performance measurement, scorecards and reporting.

Waldrop joins West Monroe from STARS, a Marsh and McLennan Company, where he was global managing director of professional services. Previously, he spent seven years as a senior manager for Deloitte Consulting, LLP, working with clients in the insurance sector to transform their capabilities to meet the changing market dynamics.

Waldrop began his career as a consultant for Arthur Andersen in Atlanta. His other roles have included senior manager in strategy consulting for marchFIRST; account director and senior strategist for AGENCY.COM; and senior manager for enterprise applications consulting for The North Highland Company in Atlanta. In addition to working with an array of insurance leaders, his clients have included companies in the banking, distribution and warehousing, financial services, government, non-profit, professional services, retail, technology products, and telecommunications sectors.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems with honors from Georgia State University.
