Tom Hulsebosch Named a Finalist for Outstanding Midmarket IT Leader of the Year Award

West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consulting firm, today announced that Tom Hulsebosch, the firm’s Energy & Utilities practice leader, has been named a finalist for two 2012 IT Leadership Awards by SearchCIO-Midmarket.com.

Hulsebosch is a 20-year veteran of the wireless telecommunication industry with extensive experience creating and delivering solutions for enterprises, public safety agencies, and service providers. Since joining West Monroe in 2008, he has built and led an Energy & Utilities practice that quickly developed a distinctive reputation for helping utilities of all sizes pursue smart-grid, infrastructure modernization, and other transformation goals. Under Tom’s leadership, West Monroe has developed and delivered innovative capabilities around smart grid planning, regulatory reporting, wireless communication architecture, workforce preparedness, and customer education and engagement. West Monroe’s Energy & Utilities practice has worked with more than 30 utilities across North America and beyond.

The SearchCIO-Midmarket.com 2012 IT Leadership Awards recognize the middle market's innovative CIOs. The organization received almost 500 nominations and then selected 40 for further evaluation. To select the finalists, panel of judges, including current and former chief information officers, rated nominees on a scale of 1-10 for cultural innovation, technological advancement, business harmonization, green IT and customer experience.

The Outstanding IT Leader award is given to a professional whose excellent leadership qualities demonstrate achievement on many levels, including several if not all of the award categories, and who made a substantial business impact to a business or industry. The Green IT award goes to a leader whose initiatives promote ecological and sustainable IT capabilities.

Winners will be announced in April.
