West Monroe has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Chicago Tribune. This marks the 10th consecutive year the firm has been named to the annual list. The report released on Friday ranked West Monroe 9th among 55 mid-sized companies.
West Monroe was one of 150 employers recognized in the annual workplace report, a combined effort between the Chicago Tribune and its partner, Energage, which surveys employees to measure several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
“It is an incredible honor to be one of only a handful of companies recognized as a top workplace for the past 10 years,” said Doug Armstrong, West Monroe’s COO and Chicago office leader. “Our employees' dedication to a fun and nimble workplace focused on building the next generation of leaders is the reason for our continued success."
Since opening its doors in 2002, West Monroe has grown to more than 1,400 employees nationally and aims to increase its current local workforce from 800 to 1,600 people by 2024. The firm recently announced plans to move its downtown headquarters to 311 W. Monroe St. later next year in a deal that doubles its footprint and includes naming rights to the newly renovated office building.
Part of the firm’s purpose is developing professionals who strike an uncommon blend into the next generation of leaders. Through mentorship and learning, West Monroe invests significantly in talent to develop the business skills of technologists and the technology skills of business professionals.
West Monroe is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. In Chicago, the firm has provided pro-bono consulting services to several critical organizations in the city, including PAWS Chicago and the Chicago Police Department. Additionally, the firm and its employees support dozens of local charities through board appointments and monetary contributions, including Lakeview Pantry, HFS Chicago Scholars, Spark, Chicago Scholars, Springboard Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity.
The rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony on November 7 at the United Club at Soldier Field, and The Chicago Tribune published the complete list of Top Workplaces in a special edition published on November 8. The complete list of recognized companies is available here.
