West Monroe is proud to be recognized on the Vault (powered by Firsthand) list of 2022 Best Internships for the third year in a row.
The firm ranked 2nd in the consulting category and 42nd overall. To compile the rankings, Vault surveyed more than 11,400 current and former interns from more than 100 internship programs to evaluate factors such as quality of life, culture, employment prospects, career development, diversity, and interview process.
In addition to having respondents rate and review their own internship experiences for the 2021 Internships Rankings, Vault asked interns to rate the prestige of other employers to determine which internships are the most desirable. Vault also considered how firms created a fulfilling virtual internship experience in response to the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
The award validates West Monroe’s investment in making internships meaningful experiences with opportunities for hands-on work. Many of our interns, over the course of their work at West Monroe, find that we have built a mutually beneficial relationship that they want to continue in a full-time capacity—two-thirds of our interns in 2020 converted to full-time hires.
To keep our people safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, internships were conducted primarily virtually this year. Despite this limitation, West Monroe’s top goal was to maintain a rewarding experience and provide a high level of support no matter where our interns worked. Interns had frequent check-ins with Career Advisors and Project Managers, opportunities to work on client engagements, a mid-summer project review, leadership roundtables, virtual and in-person happy hours, and an end-of-summer presentation that allowed them to showcase their contributions.
Nationally, West Monroe has been listed as a top company to work for by Consulting Magazine and named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Consulting and Professional Services by Great Place to Work.
