August 29, 2012 (CHICAGO) – West Monroe Partners, a full-service North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that David Babicz has joined the firm as a senior manager in the Technology Enablement Practice. An Agile transformation specialist and Certified Scrum Master, Babicz has more than 20 years of experience in project leadership across an array of industries.
Babicz works with teams and enterprises to make the transition to Agile culture and practices through a variety of offerings, including training, coaching, and assessments. His experience as a software development manager, Agile team leader, and database developer spans the areas of content and digital rights management, digital print publishing, financial services analysis and reporting, customer account management, investment research, and consumer and industrial mobile applications.

Babicz joined West Monroe from Solstice Consulting, where he was an Agile transformation practice leader and delivery manager. He created and grew the firm’s Agile transformation practice and led client transformation efforts ranging from enterprise-wide strategic and cultural efforts to single teams and targeted training offerings. Previously, he was a software development manager and team lead for Riverside Publishing Company for more than a decade and began his career as an operations manager for The Arts Matter Foundation in Chicago. Babicz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Colorado. In addition to being a Certified Scrum Master, he holds several Microsoft certifications.

Babicz is active in the Chicago Agile community, serving as a board member of the Chicago Agile Professional Learning Network and a host for the Chicago Agile Methodology Group. He is a regular public speaker for a variety of associations and non-profit organizations.
Agile is a project management and development approach often used for software development. It emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and incremental, iterative steps that enable teams and customers to assess and refine a solution over the course of development. Scrum is an iterative and incremental Agile development method.
