West Monroe Expands Chicago Office Space by 40 Percent

West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, today announced it has opened 20,000 square feet of additional office space at its Chicago office, bringing its Chicago footprint to over 70,000 square feet. The company now occupies the entire 11th floor of the Franklin, spanning its two towers located at 222 W. Adams Street and 227 W. Monroe Street.

The additional office space accommodates the firm’s fast-growing Chicago practice, which today numbers more than 400 business consultants and deep technical specialists serving many of the firm’s nearly 350 clients in key industries, including banking, private equity, life sciences, insurance, utilities, retail, and others. The office expansion also creates additional space for West Monroe’s Performance Services team, which provides managed infrastructure, data, application, and security management services and supports core data center operations for clients nationally. The office is also home to more than 60 management and shared services personnel who support operations nationally.

“Our roots are in Chicago, and we are excited to continue expanding our presence within the local business community,” said Doug Armstrong, West Monroe Partners’ Chicago office leader. “While consultants spend much of their time in the field working with our clients, our office remains the heart of our distinctive culture—an environment that fosters a level of collaboration and camaraderie that enables us to blend our talents and accomplish great things.”

West Monroe Partners’ expansion includes many collaborative working areas to accommodate different working styles, productivity-oriented features such as two new standing conference rooms, and various ergonomic and health-oriented features such as additional standing desks. The new space also includes an expanded display wall for the accolades recognizing the firm’s culture and workplace practices, as well as its growth and technical expertise. Locally, West Monroe Partners is among the Crain’s Chicago Business “Fast Fifty” and “Top Privately Held Companies,” as well as a Chicago Tribune “Top Workplace.” Last year, Consulting® magazine recognized the firm with an Excellence in Social and Community Investment award for its pro bono work with Chicago-based Community Health.

In 2012, West Monroe Partners’ Chicago office received LEED® Gold certification. The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the leading standard for buildings, homes, and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained, and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.

West Monroe Partners was founded in Chicago in 2002. The firm relocated to the Franklin (then called Franklin Center) in 2012. It has leased space through 2026 to accommodate projected future growth.
