West Monroe Named to Crain's 2012 Fast Fifty

West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, announced today that it has been named to Crain’s Fast Fifty, a list of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Chicago published annually by Crain’s Chicago Business. With a five-year growth rate of 206 percent, West Monroe ranked 33 on the list of 50 companies.

Founded in 2002, West Monroe Partners has grown revenue to more than $56 million by focusing on over a dozen key industries and services to help prepare for and mitigate the impact of industry-specific down cycles. As a team of business and technical experts, West Monroe Partners primarily serves clients in industries undergoing profound change by helping solve their most complex challenges so they can adapt, shift gears and thrive.

Since opening its doors ten years ago, West Monroe has grown to more than 320 consultants and continues to have ambitious growth plans for 2012 and beyond. West Monroe continues to see substantial growth in several of its core industries and functional capabilities including Private Equity, Workforce Optimization, Energy & Utilities, Supply Chain, and Technology.

This is West Monroe Partners’ fourth time on the Crain’s Fast Fifty list over the past five years. Additionally, it has been listed as a top company to work for nationally by Consulting Magazine and Vault Inc.; in Chicago by Crain’s, the Chicago Tribune and the National Association of Business Resources; in Seattle by Seattle Business Monthly; and in Columbus by Columbus Business First.

To qualify for the Fast Fifty list, Crain’s evaluated companies with an inception date on or before December 31, 2006; with headquarters in the six-county area (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will) as of December 31, 2011; and with 2011 revenue of at least $20 million. The publication required financial statements or tax returns and enlisted an outside accounting firm to assist with verifying the financial information.
